Responsible Sourcing for Business Success

The China Challenge

As China pushes ahead in all directions, it’s pull on human, natural and financial resources is becoming truly global. It’s already centre stage as a mass supplier across most industrial and consumer sectors. It’s domestic consumption is now also becoming significant.

As well as opportunities, this presents a bewildering array of environmental, social and economic challenges for China, its trading partners and international business. Just how China’s national and regional governments respond to the challenges will have a range of implications for global business. It is becoming harder to avoid both the threats and opportunities.

At a Forum For The Future event in London, SourceAsia were invited to provide an overview of the developments, trends and business challenges. Please download ChinaChallenge.pdf. We hope it is of interest to you or one of your colleagues, as a snapshot. See also SA Links for China Challenge CSR News updates.

SourceAsia specialises in assisting companies through the difficult terrain of risk and corporate responsibility when sourcing from, outsourcing to, investing in and joint-venturing with Chinese and other Asian enterprises.

If China features in your supply chain, your product markets, your investments, your strategic plans or other business interests, there is probably a way we can help you to reduce your risks and protect your business value.

Please get in touch, we’ll be happy to talk: e-mail paul.wenman@source-asia.net or telephone +44 (0)7720416363.
